Executive Biography - Dave Kropla
Dave has enjoyed a diverse career that includes experience in financial services, information technology, outsourcing, public accounting, education and corporate finance.
Immediately prior to joining EDS Advanced Solutions, Dave spent 10 years with EDS Canada in a variety of roles. His most recent assignment was as Director, Business Process Outsourcing in Canada. His previous roles in EDS include, Director, Delivery for EDS Canada’s Central Region; Client Delivery Executive for the Bank of Canada Retail Debt (Canada Savings Bond) contract and Account Manager for our Teranet Land Information Services in Toronto.
Before joining EDS, Dave worked as General Manager for a small technology firm in New Orleans; operated his own public accounting practice and; held a variety of positions in his 20 years career in Canadian banking. Interestingly, his career started as a CR1 clerk with the federal government where he held several positions, eventually winning a ‘competition’ for a computer operation position in that department.
His background is diverse and includes assignments across Canada and the United States. He has lived and worked in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Ottawa and Toronto as well as the unique experience of living and working in New Orleans.
Dave is a Certified General Accountant (1986) and has a MA in Leadership and Training (2005) from Royal Roads in Victoria. After graduation he participated as Associate faculty, teaching in that program for three years.
Dave has been married for 35 years and has three grown daughters.
