Jim Hamilton brings more than 20 years of hands-on Information Technology (IT) industry experience in Canada to EDS Advanced Solutions. Jim is responsible for all IT business delivery and services to all EDS Advanced Solution clients in his role as President.
Jim joined EDS Canada in 1985 and has played a leading role in IT activities ranging from real time systems development, to project and program manager, to divisional enterprise architect for government services across Canada. One of his key strengths is his ability to quickly understand business and functional requirements and apply supporting technology in the most cost effective and technically sound manner.
Jim has an implementation focus supported by exceptional project management skills. His in-depth knowledge of all major hardware, software and network platforms and all phases of the systems life cycle, ensures appropriate resource allocation to meet schedules and budgets. Jim's diverse industry and project background provides sound business judgment, leading to overall project success.
Jim has an honours bachelor of applied science in electrical engineering with a minor in computer science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario. He sits on the board of directors for EDS Advanced Solutions and for the Victoria Advanced Technology Council. Jim lives with his family in North Saanich, British Columbia.
