Executive Biography - Mike Attard
Mike Attard began working with EDS Advanced Solutions in 2005 as Chief of Staff for Revenue Services. Mike is currently responsible for all financial, accounting and administrative services within EDS Advanced Solutions as the Vice President, Finance and Administration.
Mike worked in public accounting for several years before joining British Columbia’s Ministry of Provincial Revenue (now Small Business and Revenue) in 1988. During his career with government, Mike was responsible for having the Province sign on to the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA), the introduction of tobacco marking in British Columbia and developing a corporate tax audit program.
In 2002, Mike was the first director of the tax collections branch and consolidated tax collections within the Ministry of Small Business and Revenue. In 2004, Mike joined the Revenue Management Project and negotiated the financial aspects of the contract on behalf of the Province.
Mike has a degree in Commerce & Economics from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and is also a professional accountant with a C.M.A. designation. Mike lives with his family in Sooke, British Columbia.
